The 10 worst things about being fat

Ok so if everyone tried, everyone can lose weight and get in shape. But no one said it was easy, in fact it's damn hard. If it was easy then there wouldn't be any fat people in this world. The reason many people are out of shape is because it's tough and it hurts to get in shape.

To get in shape you need motivation, and you need enough motivation to overcome the inertia that the pain of exercise creates.

Some people get this motivation through the desire to look better, through vanity. Other people get it because they've had enough of the negatives that come with being fat.

Now a doctor will probably tell you that the biggest downsides to being fat is hypertension, heart disease, and diabetes. But I can tell you unless a person is about to die generally fear of bad health doesn't motivate people. After all smokers know that smoking kills, but how many people quit smoking right away because of that knowledge?

No, there are things that can motivate an individual way more than the threat of heart disease or diabetes. The real negatives to being fat manifest themselves in daily inconvenience and ridicule.

So here are the 10 worst things about being fat that I've noticed. Some of these negative shit actually happened to me. They might differ for other people, but I'm sure if you're fat you can think of your own top 10 list.

10) If you drop something important whilst driving you're fucked. You're too fat to bend over and pick it up, so you have to stop the car and physically get out to pick it up.

9) If you're really fat you find it hard even to tie your own shoe laces because your belly gets in the way.

8) You can't go skiing or snowboarding because once you fall you can't get back up again.

7) You can't go on rides at theme parks because the seat is too small, or the restraints don't fit, or you're worried you'll have a heart attack if you do go on.

6) You can't go on hikes with fit girls because the girls have to stop and watch you recover your breath whilst you sit down and try to stop the pain and dizziness.

5) When you go to the beach kids point and laugh at you.

4) When you fall asleep on the beach your girlfriend finds it funny to use sand to write the word "PIG" on your belly.

3) You feel bad going to pool parties because all the girls flock to the guys that have six packs, whilst the only six pack you've got is a pack of Carlsberg.

2) You can't see what you're doing when you're taking a piss because your belly is in the way.

1) Last but not least, it sucks when you're getting a blowjob because you can't see what's going on.

Now that's just the top 10 for me, I'm sure if you took the time to write down your top 10 list of real negatives and really thought about it, it'll be enough to light a fire under your ass and give you the motivation you need.

There's no excuse for being fat


See this guy right here? This fat bastard? That's me. All 250lbs of me displayed in not so glamorous fashion. But I wasn't always like this, I used to be thin, if not athletic. This was me back in 1996. I was 17, 176 lbs, did sports 5 times a week and I had a six pack.

So you're probably asking yourself. How the fuck did a skinny ass guy that did sports 5 times a week turn into a 250 lb behemoth?

Well it didnt happen overnight. It happened over a period of 6 years after I finished university. So basically I gained a pound a month, every month for 6 years till I no longer looked like my former self.

Now as a fat bastard I can tell you there's no excuse for anyone to be fat. That might sound a bit harsh especially to anyone that's found it hard to lose weight. But really, there's no fucking excuse at all. Unless a person has a thyroid gland problem, they have the ability to get in shape. If there's a will then there's a way.

A lot of out of shape people have two excuses for being out of shape. 1) I'm too busy with work and family and dont have the time to go work out. 2) I just can't seem to get in shape or lose that weight.

Both are excuses, because from personal experience I can tell you every fat person out there can cease to be fat if they made the actual effort to change their lifestyle. It ain't easy, but there's no such thing as too busy, because I do have the spare time. All my spare time just goes into drinking and partying, watching T.V or playing computer games. As for diet, yeah I eat crap everyday.

So let's see exactly what a person can accomplish if they eat right and work out. This blog will document the whole process.
